Simply The Best
The very first Gause Built Boat was created because the Gause family could not find a fishing boat that offered all the features they wanted. They were after a boat that was designed from the beginning for a tower, and one that would allow them to get into the shallow water areas so prevalent in their area, around Tarpon Springs. They recognized that different owners would want different features, and committed from the beginning to building each boat as a custom project, so that they could create the best boat for that owner. As owners brought new and valuable ideas to their custom boats many of those got incorporated as standard features, or got put on the suggested options list. The boats continue to evolve, and improve, as you can see from the features shown here. As they change and improve Gause Built Boats remain, simply the best.
Top Quality Marine Stereos Gause Built Boats come equipped with some of the most impressive marine stereos in the industry. Sub-woofers, multiple speakers, high output amplifiers, IPod hookups, XM radio and more are all available.
Weather-Safe Radio Enclosure Radios are mounted in the custom overhead with a smoked plexiglass cover which has detents to hold it open, closed or mid-way.
Durable Hardware Brackets for rods, nets, boathooks and more are made of long lasting materials, not wood or cheap composites.
Power Pole Anchor System A Power-Pole Shallow Water Anchor can be mounted on the Porta Hydraulic Bracket so that swim platforms can still be used in both sides of the motor.
Convenient Storage for Lifejackets Custom storage built into the overhead provides a place for life jackets right where you want them when you need them, dry and handy without leaving the wheel.
Plentiful Rod Storage You can get numerous "rocket launchers," for handy rod storage, and a bright light for the aft deck.
Custom Console Designed for Functionality The tall custom console has plenty of room for switches, gauges and a 12 inch fish finder / chart plotter, all in a compartment that has an easily lockable door to protect them when you are away from the boat. There's plenty of room for your phone, wallet and keys as well.
Space-Saving Hideaway Cooler Getting a Frigid-Rigid cooler mounted on rollers not only allows easy access to drinks from the normally "out of the way" cooler, it makes a great step to allow easy access to rods in the "rocket launchers."
Custom Tacklebox and Rack A custom tackle box built into the leaning post keeps your gear right where you need it. The back rest on the leaning post easily lifts out and can be stored in one of the many available storage compartments.
Anchor Locker and Custom Anchor Bracket The anchor locker in the bow is smooth, clean and can be equipped with a custom bracket specifically designed to hold your anchor.
Maintenance Compartment and Wash-Down Hose Compartment doors in the transom provide easy access to maintenance items, and a wash-down hose, as well as a great place to mount forward facing speakers for the stereo system.
Low and Secure Battery Location The batteries are mounted where they are easy to access, very secure, and low in the boat, right where you want the weight.
Neat, Safe, Easy-To-Access Wiring The wiring in a Gause Built is one of the most impressive features of the boat, even though it is seldom seen. The best materials are used, and the time required is spent, to ensure that all electrics are neat, correct, easily accessed and made to last.
Optimally Designed Steering Stations Both steering stations are neat and well thought out, and it's possible to add an 8 inch fish finder / chart plotter to the upper station.
